About Mansa

Mansa Cycles was founded in 2013. We are Black founded and (still) owned, based in Chicago, Illinois. Our mission is to create bikes that are for the educated consumer. The racer that knows that it is about the legs as well as the bike. Our bikes are meant to be ridden and raced...hard!

Our first branded frame, the Cudjoe is an ode to our president and founder's Jamaican and African roots. Cudjoe the Maroon Tribe's fearless leader in Trelawny Town in Jamaica. Red, black, and green represent the Pan-African flag introduced by Marcus Garvey, one of the 7 National Heroes of Jamaica.

The company logo is inspired by the African Adinkra symbol of Nsoromma, which is a symbol of guardianship. A reminder that God is the Father and He watches over all.
